About our Cashmere

Cashmere comes from the undercoat of cashmere goats, which grow an ultra-fine layer of insulation to survive extreme cold. This soft underlayer is naturally shed each spring and gently combed by hand, never sheared.

Each goat produces only a few ounces of usable fiber per year, making true cashmere rare by nature.

The Fiber

Spun from long-staple Inner Mongolian cashmere: 14.5 microns, 38mm average fiber length. Longer fibers mean fewer ends at the surface of the yarn, which is why it resists pilling instead of fuzzing after a season.

No blends. No synthetics. Just pure cashmere.

From Source to Garment

After collection, the fibers are cleaned, spun, and knit in Italy at a family-owned mill with over 100 years of experience. Each step of the process protects the integrity of the cashmere, prioritizing quality over speed.

The result is a garment that feels light, soft, and made to last.

Our yarn is spun at a mill independently certified to the leading standards for animal welfare, traceability and chemical safety. These certifications are held by the mill and cover the yarn we buy from it.

Made in Small Numbers

We release in limited drops rather than holding continuous stock. It keeps each run small enough for the atelier to work at its own pace, and it means nothing is made that is not wanted.

Caring for It

Cashmere rewards gentle handling. Wash by hand in cool water, dry flat, and rest a piece between wears so the fibres can recover. Done well, a sweater will outlast the decade it was bought in. Our care guide sets out the full method.
