Care Guide
Made to last. Designed to soften with time.
Cashmere is a natural fiber and requires very little washing. With proper care, your L'aventure cashmere can be worn and loved for years.
Wash
Hand wash in cold water using a small amount of gentle wool or cashmere detergent. Avoid fabric softener, bleach, and harsh detergents.
Dry
Never wring or twist. Gently press out excess water, reshape, and lay flat to dry away from direct heat or sunlight. Do not tumble dry.
Store
Always fold your cashmere rather than hanging it, which can stretch the fibers. Store clean in a cool, dry place. For long-term storage, use a breathable garment bag with cedar to help protect against moths.
Pilling
Some pilling is natural, particularly during the first few wears. It occurs as loose fibers work their way to the surface, but should be minimal and easy to remove. Gently remove any pills with a cashmere comb. With proper care, pilling should lessen over time.
Between wears
Allow your cashmere to rest between wears. Lightly steam when needed rather than washing frequently.
A final note
Cashmere is meant to be lived in. With wear and thoughtful care, the fibers relax and soften, allowing your piece to become uniquely yours.
